About us!


At The UPPside we have a strong focus and ethos on local and locals. We started the Clare Valley movement of #LocalsSupportingLocals The movement was started as a way to encourage and support our amazing local community and to promote our beautiful region.

We are the only Restaurant & Wine Bar in the Clare Valley that only stocks Clare Valley Wines and Beers (we have nothing from any other region). We believe in our regions produceand love to showcase it. 

Our wine menu boasts over 16 different wineries and grape varieties that has been carefully curated by owner/operator Caity Uppill with the intent of growing it more over time. We also only stock Clare Valley beers. The Clare Valley is very lucky to have two world class breweries. Our wine and beer selection magically pair with our European flare for food that is served
in our award-winning Restaurant.

We also stock local Gins and have produced our own UPPside Vodka & UPPside Limoncello with more
UPPside spirits on the way.

We grow a lot of our own fresh produce on-site which is visible when you arrive and only source our protein and other produce locally. All our meals are handmade on-site under the caring eye of owner/operator and award-winning local Chef Christian Uppill.

We also implement eco friendly practices from multiply forms of composting, worm farming, environmental packaging and more.
